KPA Constitution under Article 3.0 has provided for the objectives of the Association namely
- Taking care of the professional and economic interests of members
- Ensuring high professional and ethical standards among its members
- and Defending and enforcing the rights and Privileges of its members.
These objectives are consequently condensed in Article 11(4) of the KPA Constitution which empowers the Branch to take care of the welfare of its members.
As a branch we are highly concerned about the fact that some of our members are engaged by third parties without Superintendent contracts, thereby subjecting them to degrading terms and conditions; including arbitrary termination of those engagements together with failure to receive agreed remuneration/benefits. Similarly, we take concern on some of our members who also withdraw their licenses from engagements after receiving their benefits thereby leaving the third party stranded thus occasioning reputational dent/damage to the specific individual or our members. It is indeed clear that some of these engagements between our members and third parties lack proper agreement contracts. This has resulted in engagements that have failed to achieve the desired results and at times leaving both parties to remain in some bondage. The Back Story
KPA_Nairobi Branch has since prepared a legal and reputable SUPERINTENDENT CONTRACT AGREEMENT AND DECLARATION highlighting the key areas of concern for both parties involved in the agreement. This assists to cure both arbitrary terminations and also allows members who are dissatisfied with specific arrangements to disengage in a civil manner. This Superintendent contract can also be uploaded in the Pharmacy and Poisons Portal upon signing by both parties during the renewal of your Superintendent licenses. All members seeking any further clarifications and to access the contract can kindly reach out to the office via Phone No. 0727 300 245 or email; info@kpanairobi.com or any branch official.
