Bimonthly Scientific Meeting
Nairobi Branch holds its Bimonthly Scientific meetings (BSM) every third Saturday of January, March, July, September and November.
Bi monthly meetings are held to deliberate on different branch agendas and also for the continuous professional development of members
Through continuing professional development, the members get an opportunity to grow their skills not only in the areas of pharmacy but in many other critical development areas.
There are three major goals for Continuing professional development
1 – To keep in-touch with changing trends in the industry.
2 – To satisfy the Pharmacy and poisons Board requirement; To provide at least 32 hours of quality CPD sessions as is the requirement of the PP board.
3 – Mentorship – New members need to be properly oriented with the expectations and requirements of the profession:

The minimum monthly contribution fee is Sh1000.

1. Q. How do I join KPA?
A. New Members MUST be enrolled with the Pharmacy and Poisons Board, then you apply to the KPA National office to join. You need your academic certificates and Enrollment Certificate from the PPB.
2. Q. How much does it cost?
A. Annual PPB Registration for professional license, Ksh. 5000.
Premise Licence from PPB, Ksh. 10,000.
KPA New Member Registration, Ksh. 9000 Payable at the National office
KPA Annual Subscription, Kshs. 4000. Payable at the Branch office
3. Who can join the Association?
A. An applicant with at least a Diploma in Pharmacy from an Institution recognized by the Pharmacy and Poisons Board.
